FoodCAST was presented at the first edition of "WIRED Next Fest", on 16 May 2014, by Riccardo Sabatini and Gianni Fava, Councillor for Agriculture of the Lombardy Region. On that occasion, guidelines for the food of the future were discussed, stating that such food should meet nutritional needs, while Complying with local cultures and sustainability models.
At the event a special area was set up for interactive Foodly quiz stations.
